Board of Assessment Review
The Board of Assessment Review (BAR) meets annually on the Fourth Tuesday in May to hear complaints regarding property assessments and property exemption determinations.

Board of Ethics
The Board of Ethics is charged with ensuring compliance with the Ethics Law of the Town of Irondequoit.

Conservation Board
The Conservation Board is charged with preserving the Town’s natural environment. It reviews and provides recommendations on all proposed legislation and development applications with the potential for significant environmental impacts.

Library Board of Trustees
The Irondequoit Public Library is chartered by the New York State Education Department and in accordance with the laws of New York State operates under the direction of the Library Board of Trustees.

Planning Board
The Planning Board reviews applications for site development, land subdivisions, and Environmental Protection Overlay District permits as authorized in the Town code.

Preservation Commission
The Preservation Commission was formed in 2001 to preserve and protect local historic sites and foster civic pride in and awareness of the history of the Town of Irondequoit. It reviews and approves applications for landmark designation and certificates of appropriateness for proposed changes to designated landmarks as authorized in the Town code.

Town Board
The Town Board is the legislative body of Irondequoit Town Government and is tasked with the fiscal management and oversight of Town operations. Board members serve 4-year terms in office. The Supervisor serves a 2-year term in office.

Zoning Board of Appeals
The Zoning Board of Appeals hears and decides appeals of code enforcement and building permit decisions, interprets the Town zoning code, and grants zoning variances and temporary and special use permits as appropriate and authorized by the Town code.
