Responsibilities
The Community Engagement Unit (CEU) provides a proactive approach to law enforcement through community policing. Officers work closely with residents, community groups, and youth to address problems. Community policing programs include:
- Irondequoit Police Volunteers and Neighborhood Watch
- School programs
- Special Events and crossing guards
All programs are the responsibility of the Community Engagement Unit.
