Environmental Protection Overlay District (EPOD) Maps
There are five EPOD maps that identify environmentally-sensitive areas in the Town of Irondequoit. Development may be restricted in these areas if it is found to have a potentially adverse impact on the surrounding environment. Development in all EPODs requires an EPOD Development Permit. Read detailed information contained in the Town’s EPOD regulations. For more information related to EPODs, including mapping and EPOD permit application, please see the documents below:

Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs)
Current Flood Insurance Rate Maps are not available electronically. They can be viewed at the Planning and Zoning office.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) recently proposed revisions to the Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) for all of Monroe County including the Town of Irondequoit. These new maps are preliminary but are more accurate than the current 1980s vintage maps. Most of Irondequoit remains unaffected, however there are a number of changes throughout the Town.
